My Tanks

I would like to do an extention upwards on a Rio 180. Water on the rio, then hanging planters all the way up, with some misting done twice or three times a day.

Something similar to what Darren had above the big tanks, but on a enclosed space.

James:
Sounds good, I like the idea of the tank becoming part of the room.  Sadly i'm going to have to wait until I buy my own place before I can give big projects like that a go.

ghostsword:
I would like to do it before end of year... got the alcove ready, just need to figure out how to get the acrylic sorted out, as I want water to fall back into the tank and not mess up the walls and floor.. :)

LondonDragon:
Nice tanks :)

Nice DIY, not sure if the varnish is a good idea, most people that make DIY tanks use epoxy paint as its more durable and resistant.

Thanks for sharing

James:
Varnish is one of the things I would change if I did it again, at the time I was told it was the way to go but it is very easy to chip and needs a lot of layers.  Part of me wonders about stripping the whole thing back and coating and sealing it again but not sure how much of a hassle that would be.
