Mr Dee:
Hi all, time for a lil update on this mini- scape.. I guess not a lot has gone on really, since i first posted this..
The Hc is filling out well, and should soon be time for some trimmers to come out. The P.gayii has already had it's first trim, last week, and is already needing another. The surface growth is fast and shows in this depth, will give it a proper trim back next week.
The pogostemon cuttings have set in deep roots now. And above ground level most transitional leaves have gone, with plenty of new growth. Would like to keep this plant short, with the leaves just as they are.. nice width for this scape, and with a nice "Kermit the frog green" colour.
The Rotala mac mini has been a slow transition indeed and one that im happy with sofar..
New growth is staying nice and small, could be tighter with the gaps between the nodes, and a wider flatter leaf, but I'm confident it'l get there. If not - well hey i'l try it again one day in another scape for sure.
Hard scape wise Im gonna look out for a couple of suitable candidates for some more detail. As I feel the foreground is lacking most. Along with another uprite- farback leftside- to soften the vertical.. but thats just how im feeling..
 lil pik...
