205 vs 206

Hey all I am currently looking at the fluval 205 and 206 both on eBay. They are both new and unopened. I just want to know if the 206 is a great deal better or if it's marginal. Also are there better canisters similar in price. Many thanks

i always recommend people check out the filters over at allpondsolutions, i've got 2 of them and they were such good value for money

Hi James. I have had a look at the aps filters and they really do seem to be phenomenal value. I was wondering if they have a flow adjuster as I thinking of getting the 2000lph uv light one seeing as its the same price as a 206 more or less. Because who knows I may be able to get a bigger tank one day ;) plus this way if I choose to I can lose the internal box I still have plenty of filtration. Was always told you can never have enough filtration and it's kind of stuck lol. Also how quiet are they?

I have one of the APS externals and its very quiet but I don't think its as powerful as advertised. No flow adjuster but at that price you can always buy a second one later. Redundancy is always nice to have, particularly in a large tank.
