aquatlantis evasion 190l
chaotic:
time to open journal :)
tank have been cleaned, moved in proper place, equipment cleaned (filters not tested yet, only lights checked and cleaned). I used bag of 15kg argos play sand and washed it (it is very easy to wash I must say), 0,5kg of aquarium-friendly peat from ebay and old normal gravel from 25l tank.
it went like that: half of sand first then peat where it will be most planted then gravel over peat, and rest of the sand over everything. I want to make some elevated part made from old substrate from 60l tank so now I'm planting only on the "low lands" part with plants from 25l.
tricky part is how to disassemble 60l(plants and gravel) without moving fishies to 190l just yet. elite filter have two sponges and two small containers with filter media and I'm thinking about using half of it in new filters, so elite would still have some old media while new ones will be getting bacteria boost.
still have loads of pygmy chain sword plantlets to stick in the substrate(I would say 200 at least) and that means lots of time to think and plan :D
pictures incoming.
pauld:
lots of work for you .
CAYO:
I still got that bag of eco complete gravel mix if you still need it and bogwood. And let us know if you would like some more plant cuttings. Hold onto the marine lights if they are T5 as salt tank upgrade is on the cards for me for the new year even if the o/h say no, us gurlies have a way of talking them round in the end ;) I have 2x24w hagen life-glo TH HO bulbs (6700K) stashed so if they are any use to you we could do a swopsie.
chaotic:
yes, I have lots of it paul :) but it is pleasure!
absolutely CAYO, swap gratefully welcome and cuttings even better :) my husband pledged not to "jungle it up too much" but my plans are very different :D and gravel for sure welcome too, as I only started with work. It might actually save me lots of trouble! I'm not keen on ripping 60l off and putting creatures in there in strange-bucket-situation yet.
bulbs are for 100cm tank mind you, will measure them later to be precise.
jm_:
Cayo -- go 10K plus if marine or up to 15K (always blue and white)
Your find it best more K more light / heat / purchase costs / running costs
Depends on the creatures of cause
