Little gem

(1/1)

Lamzang:
Big thank you to Cat for giving this little gem of a tank to me. Scrubbed it the same evening after I had picked it up and filled it with water. Turned out it had a little leak but that was easily fixed.
Its currently running at room temperature only (ca 19-20C) and I just stuck in some plant cuttings from my main tank. Used plain black cardboard as a background, bought a bag of very fine honey-coloured gravel and a small piece of wood and that's it. I'm not in a rush to put any livestock in but I'm thinking of trying to simply breed daphaea in it, as a food source for my fish. Or I may turn it into a betta tank..... Will keep you posted. Anyhow, this is what it looks like for now:

mlgt:
Looks great Eric.

Now for valentimes day ask Andreas for a newer camera

hehe

Lamzang:
He he, I know; its the camera on my mobile, that's why...

cat:
glad the tank worked out! it looks great! sorry, I didn't know about the leak!! the tank is about 6 years old now, old age setting in haha! Glad it was fixable!

Lamzang:
Oh, no worries, Cat. It was just a tiny puncture and no damage done. It is now home to the cherry shrimps Louis brought along yesterday and they're settling in nicely. Also put in some live daphnia on Saturday but most got sucked into the filter. Have now put some mesh over the inlet and a few survivors are still swimming around in the tank
